A safe & fun space for children to connect with Jesus

Finding Our Landing Place in JESUS

In LP Kids, we believe that learning about God doesn’t have to be boring! We sing, dance, play games, role-play, and create artwork to learn who He is! As kids move through LP Kids, we focus on the Bible and how God has worked in other’s lives as well as redemptive work of Jesus. As people on mission, we love to explore how to be a light in our school, sports teams, friendships, and family.

We are committed to your children’s health & safety - here’s how:

Secure check-in & check-out procedures

Before service: You can check-in your child at any available kiosk. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.

During service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your child’s unique number will appear on the screen in the auditorium. Simply exit the auditorium and head back to Dock Kids. One of our volunteers will be ready to assist you.

After service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

Only approved classroom leaders

All volunteers serving with family ministries undergo a comprehensive background check and are personally approved by our children’s pastor. You can be confident that the adults in the room are well trained, thoroughly vetted, & ready to care for your children.

Children’s Directors

Kennedy Owens

As a School Social Worker and Summer Camp Director, I spend year round with children and adolescents and let me tell you - kids are the best! I’ve always had a passion for working with kids, and as a believer it made sense to take that passion into ministry. In 2021, I started working at Lakepoint as a Children’s Intern, learning about ministry and discipleship; working with both LP Kids and Students and I’m still here! Teaching children the love of Jesus is a responsibility I do not take lightly, but also get to have fun with. I love getting to know each and every heart of our children at Lakepoint and their families.
