April 7th, 2019 9:00-10:00am and 10:30-11:30am

Lakepoint Church

2 Hours

On April 7th, 2019, Lakepoint Church will host two one-hour meal packing shifts from 9:00-10:00am and 10:30-11:30am. This will take the place of our normally scheduled services. We can’t think of any better way to spend an hour of our time than getting to know people from our community around the common goal of helping hungry families in our city, state and world.

 600 Volunteers

To make this event happen we are going to need some help. We are calling for 600 people from the community to come together. It will be a fun, fast-paced, family-friendly event (kids 5 and up can participate). Childcare will be provided for children 4 and under. People will be placed in groups of 7-8 at the packing stations. So grab your family, friends, group of co-workers or neighbors and sign up fast!

100,000 Meals

We will be packaging a simple but nutritious beans, rice, and vegetable meal provided by Worldwide Hunger Relief, Inc based in Waukesha, WI. They are a non-profit organization that “helps feed hungry people, locally, nationally and internationally.” These meals will be distributed to food pantries, non-profits and schools in Muskego, Waukesha, Milwaukee, and internationally. At 17 cents per meal, we need to raise $17,000 to cover the cost through corporate and non-profit sponsorships and generous individual donations.
Thank you to all of our 2019 sponsors!
